Rapid KL to extend train services, but buses may be delayed

To help cope with the increased traffic, Rapid KL is extending peak-hour LRT and MRT services.

Morning peak: 6.30am–10am
Evening peak: 4.30pm–8pm
Weekend train frequency, 24 to 25 May: Trains will run more frequently across all lines, with intervals as short as four minutes on some routes.

Meanwhile, some bus routes and on-demand services will be delayed due to intermittent roadblocks. These include routes like:
402 (LRT Titiwangsa – LRT Maluri)
302 (LRT Titiwangsa – KLCC)
300, 303, and the Titiwangsa–Chow Kit On-Demand zone

Passengers are advised to use rail services instead and to follow updates via Rapid KL's socials.

Police deployment and dry runs

Expect dry runs on 21 and 22 May, especially around KLCC, Istana Negara, and major hotels.

A total of 789 police personnel will be deployed for the summit, handling everything from VVIP escorts to crowd and traffic control.

The ASEAN Summit may cause a few hiccups in your daily commute or school schedule, but with a little planning and some help from public transport, you'll get through it just fine.

Stay safe!
