Hundreds of motorists were forced to break their fast inside their vehicles yesterday, 5 March, after flash floods submerged a stretch of the PLUS Highway near Nilai, Negeri Sembilan

According to Harian Metro, heavy rain, which began at 6pm, caused the four-lane southbound route to be entirely inundated.

The floodwaters, stretching nearly 100m, made the road impassable for light vehicles such as motorcycles and cars.

Videos of the incident show netizens expressing disbelief, as floods this severe had never occurred at this location before

The northbound route was also affected but remained accessible to heavy vehicles, while traffic jams stretched for over 2km.

As of 7.13pm, the waters had not receded, leaving many commuters stuck in a 2km crawl during the holy month of Ramadan.
