EkoCheras mall's announcement of its soft launch on 18 September previously left netizens anticipating its opening.
However, many are now concerned of the mall's "unfinished" look after a Facebook user's photos showing the building's disheveled state went viral.
Photos showed the mall looking bare and half-done, with cement tiles missing from staircases and walls yet to be painted

At the time of writing, the post has received over 7,000 shares, with many jokingly commenting that the mall was trying to be "eco-friendly"

The shopping complex has since responded to the backlash by thanking the public for their "constructive comments"
In a Facebook post on its page, EkoCheras said that it is still working on improving the place as it is currently in its soft launch phase.
