A man used a loudspeaker to blast eerie ghost stories for over 10 hours a day to annoy his neighbour
The Ministry of Justice of the People's Republic of China recently shared details of the peculiar case of petty revenge that happened in Guangzhou.
According to South China Morning Post, Lu and his partner, Li, fell into a dispute with their neighbour, Xie.
In retaliation, the pair placed a loudspeaker against their shared wall and played recordings of ghost stories nonstop.

The broadcast ran from 8.45am to noon and again from 3.30pm to 10pm, looping "ghostly mountain sounds" for over 10 hours each day
Lu kept the volume just below legal thresholds to avoid immediate police intervention.
The noise did not just affect Xie, it also reached Cui, a resident living two floors away.
Cui was also frustrated, as the eerie loops severely disrupted his child's preparations for the highly competitive college entrance examination, making the ghost recordings particularly distressing.

Sound monitoring revealed the noise reached 36 decibels, well below the daytime legal limit of 60 decibels
As the noise was technically legal, Cui had to apply for a pre-litigation injunction at the Guangzhou Haizhu District People's Court.
The court eventually ruled in favour of Cui, ordering Lu to cease the disruptive recordings immediately.
Under court supervision, Lu dismantled his audio equipment, deleted the files, and pledged to keep the peace.
The incident has since sparked widespread amusement and ridicule among social media users in China.
