Furthermore, according to The Malaysian Insider (TMI), Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, who on Sunday vocally criticised PM Najib's handling of 1MDB, may not survive the reshuffle. Meanwhile, commenting on the reports of a cabinet reshuffle, a source close to Najib told Malaysiakini: "Speculation is still speculation. In the end, the prime minister will decide."
The possible reshuffle comes as discontent towards Najib builds following exposes alleging that RM2.6 billion linked to 1MDB had been deposited into his personal accounts. Citing its unnamed government source, TMI further claimed that this time Najib's loyalists will be the dominant part of the Cabinet.
