The motorcyclist who died after being hit by a suspected drunk and drugged driver in Klang on Sunday, 29 March, was a father of three who worked two jobs to support his family
According to New Straits Times, Amirul Hafiz Omar died after the motorcycle he was riding was hit by a driver believed to be under the influence of alcohol and drugs in the 11.40am incident.
South Klang district police chief ACP Lim Jit Huey said the crash involved a motorcycle and two cars.
Preliminary investigations found that a Honda City driven by a man in his 20s was speeding dangerously down Jalan Raya Barat towards Klang town.
The driver is believed to have overtaken several vehicles before swerving into the opposite lane and crashing into Amirul's motorcycle.
The impact threw the victim onto another car. He died at the scene.

He has since been detained for investigations.
The case is being investigated under Section 44(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for driving under the influence, as well as Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 for drug use.
Friends described the victim, who was in his 30s, as a hardworking and dependable person who always had a smile on his face
His friend, Illyasa Saipuzzaman, said Amirul worked at a warehouse during the day and as a part-time delivery rider at night.
"We worked together for about 11 years, and he was a very helpful person. If there's a tough job or someone needs help, he's one of the first to show up," he told Harian Metro.
Illyasa said he had met Amirul just a day before the tragedy, and shared that Amirul never complained about bearing the responsibility as the sole breadwinner for his family.
Amirul leaves behind three children aged 9, 7, and 2.
