A 51-year-old lawyer from Shah Alam has become the first millionaire in Bank Rakyat's 2026 Rizq Plus Investment Account-i draw
Normila Hussain, 51, a mother of four, took home the RM1 million grand prize under the Major Millionaire Draw category.
According to Berita Harian, Normila admitted she was initially sceptical when the bank first contacted her about the life-changing news.
"When I received the call from Bank Rakyat last week, I thought it was a scammer," she said.

It wasn't until she received an official email from the bank that the reality of her new status sank in
At the prize presentation at Menara Kembar Bank Rakyat, Normila said she was still in shock at becoming a millionaire overnight.
The Kuala Pilah native began her investment journey two years ago at the Shah Alam branch, drawn by the competitive benefits offered to investors.
She learned about the potential to win cash prizes last year and had no immediate plans for how to spend the windfall.
