A woman and her son have died of suspected food poisoning after attending a wedding reception in Tawau, Sabah last Saturday, 9 August
According to Harian Metro, the victim's husband, Masran Mohd Amin, 43, said his wife, Nazuah Pili, 36, and their eldest son, Mohd Amran, 9, began vomiting and suffering from diarrhoea a few hours after the wedding.
Masran said he found his wife and child lying on a mattress in their home's living room at 3pm after returning from work.
"At first, I didn't suspect anything, but later, I saw my wife going back and forth to the toilet, heard her vomiting, and then lay down in a weak state.
"I tried to wake her up when I noticed traces of faeces on her sarong, and she went back into the toilet to clean herself.
"At the same time, I saw abang (Mohd Amran) still lying in the living room, motionless," he said.
