The Ministry of Education has announced it will investigate claims of a leaked 2025 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) exam paper, although it currently believes the incident did not occur

Education director-general Dr Mohd Azam Ahmad confirmed the ministry was aware of the allegations circulating on social media, but stressed that no official reports had been received.

He added that the ministry and the Malaysian Examinations Syndicate are looking into the claims, according to the New Straits Times.

"For now, we believe the SPM questions are still well-secured," he said.

The allegations surfaced via viral screenshots claiming to sell leaked SPM questions for as low as RM499 per subject, with sellers promising an 'A' grade or a refund to buyers

Speaking to reporters today, 25 November, after visiting the first day of SPM at SMK Putrajaya Presint 11(1), Mohd Azam noted that the examination syndicate has its own established procedures to address such claims, based on his own experience as a former exam director.

A total of 413,372 candidates are taking the SPM 2025 examination, with written papers officially starting today.
