A 23-year-old college student who was reported missing on 26 July has been confirmed as the woman found dead under a bridge in Puchong earlier this week
According to Subang Jaya district police chief ACP Wan Azlan Wan Mamat, a police report was filed by the victim's older sister, who said her younger sibling had asked to be picked up from the Putra Heights LRT station at noon on 25 July.
However, the victim became unreachable and remained out of contact even by the following afternoon, according to Harian Metro.
Police later received information about a body found near Sungai Klang and, upon inspecting the scene, found a set of keys in the victim's pocket.
The body was found beneath a bridge along Sungai Klang near Jalan Jurutera in Puchong, lying face down among rocks and thick vegetation.
Photos from the scene show police officers retrieving the body from the riverbank, in a secluded spot partially obscured by foliage and shaded by the bridge.
The area, though accessible, was remote enough that the woman's body initially went unidentified. No identification documents were found at the scene.
Investigators then searched the woman's residence on Jalan Klang Lama and reviewed CCTV footage, which confirmed her presence in the area before her disappearance.

The family was called in to identify the body and confirmed that the clothes matched those of the missing woman
Wan Azlan said her fingerprints were also sent to a lab for final confirmation before the body was released to her family.
A post-mortem was conducted at Hospital Serdang, but the full report is still pending.
Preliminary examination of the body found no signs of struggle or foul play.
Earlier, Harian Metro reported that the body of an unidentified woman was found lying face down on rocks under the Jalan Jurutera bridge in Puchong on 28 July.
The case is currently classified as a sudden death.
