METMalaysia Issues Thunderstorm Warnings Across 10 States. Here Are The Details
The affected areas include Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Pahang, and seven other states across the country.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (METMalaysia) has issued two thunderstorm warnings affecting ten states across Malaysia this evening, 29 July
According to a Facebook post at 3pm, the department said that thunderstorms are expected to hit 27 areas, with the warning valid until 6pm:
• Perlis
• Kedah: Langkawi
• Perak: Kampar, Bagan Datuk, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang, Muallim
• Pahang: Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Bentong, Temerloh
• Selangor: Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Gombak, Hulu Langat
• Kuala Lumpur
• Negeri Sembilan: Jelebu, Seremban, Kuala Pilah, Rembau
• Sarawak: Limbang
• Sabah: Sipitang, Tenom, Nabawan, Keningau

In a later update at 4.15pm, MET Malaysia announced that thunderstorms are expected to continue in some of these areas, as well as in newly affected locations, until 7pm
The 29 areas under the extended warning include:
• Kedah: Sik, Baling, Kulim
• Perak: Larut, Matang and Selama (a district), Hulu Perak, Bagan Datuk, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang, Muallim
• Pahang: Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Bentong, Temerloh
• Negeri Sembilan: Jelebu
• Johor: Mersing
• Sarawak: Kapit (Bukit Mabong), Miri (Telang Usan), Limbang
• Sabah:
– Interior: Sipitang, Tenom, Beaufort, Nabawan, Keningau, Tambunan
– West Coast: Papar, Tuaran, Ranau, Kota Belud
– Kudat Division: Kota Marudu, Pitas
"A warning is issued when there are signs of thunderstorms with rainfall intensity exceeding 20mm per hour that are either occurring or expected to last for more than an hour.
"Thunderstorm warnings are short-term alerts that remain valid for no more than six hours per issuance," the department said in both notices.
