Two men attempting to illegally dump trash in Shah Alam faced an embarrassing confrontation after their actions were captured by the local authority's closed-circuit television (CCTV) system

A one-minute video shared by the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) shows the individuals exiting their vehicle, opening the boot, and unloading three large plastic bags of rubbish at an unauthorised location.

The situation took an unexpected turn when a live warning was broadcast through a loudspeaker at the site

An MBSA officer can be heard saying, "Dumping rubbish here is prohibited. You will be prosecuted. We are monitoring your movements. Please pick up your rubbish now."

Visibly startled, the two men quickly gathered the rubbish and placed it back into their car before driving away.

MBSA said it is actively monitoring several "hotspots" across Shah Alam known for frequent illegal dumping

The local authority shared the CCTV footage to highlight that irresponsible individuals continue to disregard public cleanliness and environmental regulations.

MBSA issued a stern reminder to the public, noting that illegal dumping significantly pollutes the environment, and warned that offenders face strict legal action under waste management laws.

Residents are urged to dispose of their waste only at designated areas and to strictly follow local regulations

The city council reiterated its zero-tolerance policy on illegal dumping and said it will continue taking firm action against offenders to maintain the cleanliness of the city.
