A self-employed Malaysian man recently won RM2.15 million in a Da Ma Cai lottery and decided to donate the entire prize money to his former primary school

According to China Press, it all started when the man placed a small 1+3D bet at a Da Ma Cai outlet last month and walked away with a modest RM60 prize.

He slipped the winnings, including a single RM50 note, into his wallet and didn't give it much thought.

Later, while praying to his ancestors at home, he felt an inner calling during a moment of reflection

Moved by emotion, he made a solemn vow: "If I win the lottery, I will donate all the prize money to my school."

Almost immediately after the prayer, he remembered the RM50 note, took it out, and in that moment, the serial number '140' jumped out at him.

He immediately placed a 3+3D Bonus bet using the numbers '140' and '410' — and, in a symbolic gesture, picked the Chinese zodiac sign 'Tiger' to honour the mentors who shaped his life.

On the night of the draw, he was stunned when the dmcGO app announced the winning numbers: '410 + 140', and the winning zodiac was 'Tiger', exactly as he selected

"I actually slapped myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming!" he told China Press in an interview.

The man won a staggering RM2,151,664 from the lottery, a fortune that he credits to the promise he made.

Keeping the promise to his grandfather and great-grandfather, both of whom were educators and advocates for education, he donated the entire amount to his alma mater.
