The Malaysian embassy in Doha has confirmed that no citizens were affected by Israel's strike on Qatar's capital on Tuesday, 9 September
"So far, no Malaysians have been reported affected by the incident. However, Malaysians in Qatar are advised to remain vigilant and to avoid the affected area," the embassy said in a statement on Wednesday, according to New Straits Times.
The Qatari Foreign Ministry stated that the blast resulted from an Israeli strike targeting a Hamas leader's office in Doha's Legtaifiya.

Hamas reported that five of its members, including the son of its top negotiator and exiled Gaza chief Khalil al-Hayya, were killed in the attack.
The group described the incident as a failed assassination attempt on its ceasefire negotiation team. Israel has long maintained it would target Hamas leaders wherever they are located.
The attack has drawn condemnation from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, and the European Union.

The incident now risks derailing ongoing Gaza ceasefire negotiations and efforts to reach a peaceful resolution to the conflict
The strike came after Israel issued warnings for Palestinians to evacuate Gaza City amid ongoing military operations against Hamas.
