Under the new initiative, tourism project operators who renovate or upgrade their business premises will receive tax deductions of up to RM500,000

Meanwhile, tour operators will be granted a 100% income tax exemption on any income increase from tourism packages to Malaysia.

Companies, associations, or organisations that host global-level conferences, trade exhibitions, or incentive programmes will be granted a full income tax exemption

Organisers of international arts, cultural, tourism, sports, or recreational events involving foreign participants will also receive a 50% tax exemption.

For Malaysians planning local getaways, there's something too

Individuals can claim a special income tax relief of up to RM1,000 for spending on entrance fees to local attractions and cultural programmes.

These measures are part of the government's efforts to strengthen Malaysia's tourism sector and attract more visitors as the nation prepares for Visit Malaysia 2026.
