A 21-year-old Malaysian woman has been reported missing by her family after they last heard she was travelling to Thailand to meet her Chinese national boyfriend
It has been three months since the woman, identified as Chen Limin, departed for Bangkok on 28 April, and her whereabouts remain unknown, according to China Press.

She allegedly followed her boyfriend to Thailand after quitting her job in Singapore
Chen's 25-year-old brother told a press conference on Sunday, 27 July, organised by the Malaysian International Humanitarian Organisation (MHO), that his sister had been working in Singapore as a cashier since after secondary school.
However, in April, she suddenly informed the family that she was quitting her job and flying from Johor Bahru to Bangkok to meet her boyfriend, whom they had never heard of before.

The brother added that his aunt had once received a WhatsApp phone call from a man claiming to be his sister's boyfriend
However, the man claimed that Chen refused to speak with her family, so he asked to borrow RM1,700 from her aunt on her behalf.
"During the call, I could vaguely hear my sister's voice. We hadn't known she had a Chinese boyfriend. She said she wanted to buy something, but didn't explain what the money was for.
"But eventually, after we lent the money, we couldn't contact the number anymore. We suspect she's fallen [victim to] a love scam," the brother said during the press conference.
MHO secretary-general Datuk Hishamuddin Hashim said Thai immigration records show she entered the country, but there has been no official record of her departure
He highlighted the possibility that she may have been smuggled out of the country, possibly across the border.
"If someone goes missing after entering Thailand, there is a high chance they have been trafficked to Myanmar," said Hishamuddin.
Chen's family has now sought help from the MHO and the Malaysian police
Hishamuddin confirmed that he has lodged a report with the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM).
He added that they have since identified the man's name and have also reached out to the Thai police for assistance. The MHO is also investigating whether Chen is a victim of a love scam or if she has been trafficked to work in a scam syndicate.
