[BREAKING] MACC Confirms Najib Razak Has Been Arrested

According to his family lawyer, he may be charged tomorrow.

Former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak was arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) at approximately 3pm today

MACC officials have confirmed the arrest and they will be issuing a statement soon.

According to Berita Harian, he was transported in an MACC vehicle.

Najib's family lawyer reportedly said that the former premier may be officially charged tomorrow, 4 July

A reporter from Channel NewsAsia quoted Najib's family lawyer as confirming his arrest.

Najib's assistant was seen loading a car with clothes at the former premier's residence in Taman Duta, Kuala Lumpur, nearly an hour before his arrest

The special task force for 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) has confirmed that Najib's arrest was in connection with investigations into SRC International, a former 1MDB subsidiary
