Popular Indonesian transgender celebrity Lucinta Luna has gone viral on TikTok after appearing at a heated protest in Jakarta over the weekend
In multiple videos circulating on the platform, the singer, actress, and comedian was seen marching alongside demonstrators outside the House of Representatives (DPR) building.
Lucinta stood out in a military-green camouflage jumpsuit paired with a Gojek helmet, which she said was a tribute to the late Affan Kurniawan, a delivery rider who was killed on Thursday, 28 August, during the ongoing protests against the Indonesian government.
Crowds of protestors surrounded her as she joined their chants, with many cheering as Lucinta raised her voice and shouted, "Disband the DPR!"
Aside from demanding the dissolution of Indonesia's legislative body, Lucinta raised several pointed criticisms while addressing demonstrators
Standing before the crowd with a megaphone, the 36-year-old urged politicians to stop exploiting the public through taxes and asked them to show humility towards the poor.
She also issued a rallying call for fellow celebrities and social media influencers to stand with the people instead of remaining silent, while reminding protestors to stay safe and remember what they are fighting for.
"Disband the DPR and all of its members. Don't manipulate the people with the taxes, and pity them. As for all the DPR members, don't be arrogant!
"To my fellow artistes, Instagram, and TikTok celebrities, where are you? Come down here and don't stay silent," she said during the protest.
Her outspoken stance quickly won praise online, with many Indonesian netizens applauding her courage and efforts to speak up for the people

"Lucinta is serving hard during the demonstration in her Juicy Couture outfit. That's a diva!" said a netizen.
"And she looked beautiful," wrote another.
