LRT Users Take Note: Some Kelana Jaya Line Stations To Open Later On Selected Dates

Some trains will start operating from 9am on specific weekends.

Rapid KL is upgrading the LRT Kelana Jaya Line's signalling system, which may affect your morning rides

If you're a commuter on this line, you'll want to take note.

Rapid KL has announced that several stations will open later than usual on selected weekends in September and October as Phase 2 of its ongoing system upgrade works.

The affected stations will begin operating at 9am on specific weekends

According to Rapid KL's announcement, train services at the following stations will begin at 9am on these dates:

6, 7, 14, 15, 21, 27, and 28 September, as well as 11 and 12 October.

The affected stations are:

  • Kampung Baru
  • KLCC
  • Ampang Park
  • Damai
  • Dato' Keramat
  • Jelatek
  • Setiawangsa
  • Sri Rampai
  • Wangsa Maju
  • Taman Melati
  • Gombak

Trains on the rest of the Kelana Jaya Line will continue to operate as usual outside this section.

To minimise disruption, Rapid KL will provide complimentary shuttle buses and vans between the affected stations from 6am until 9am

These services will operate every 10 to 15 minutes, depending on traffic conditions, and will connect commuters from key stops such as KLCC, Ampang Park, Dato' Keramat, and Wangsa Maju.

Shuttle frequency might vary during peak hours, so if you're heading to work or class, consider leaving a little earlier.

Once the upgrade work is completed each morning, regular LRT services will resume as normal after 9am
