Langkawi Zone 4 Bomba chief Fire Supt Mohd Zamri Abd Ghani Mohd Zamri stated that the Langkawi station provided additional assistance to manage the situation

The fire involved a single-storey semi-detached unit measuring roughly 324m².

While the quarters sustained approximately 20% damage, a Volkswagen Polo parked at the premises was almost entirely lost, with 90% of the vehicle destroyed.

Firefighters managed to bring the flames under control by 8.17pm, preventing further spread to adjacent units.

Following the initial containment, the team performed overhaul works to ensure every source of ignition was extinguished
