KTMB Offers Additional Ramadan & Aidilfitri East Coast Trains, Tickets Go On Sale Today

Ramadan is expected to begin on 19 February, with Hari Raya Aidilfitri falling on 21 and 22 March this year.

Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) has announced additional train services to Kelantan to meet the high demand for the upcoming festive season

In two statements yesterday, 29 January, KTMB said the Excursion RTSM Edisi Ramadan and Ekpres Lambaian Aidilfitri Pantai Timur trains will serve the KL SentralTumpat route to accommodate travellers returning home for Ramadan in February and Hari Raya Aidilfitri in March.

"A safer and more comfortable way to head back to your hometown!" quipped KTMB.

KTMB is offering a total of 2,376 seats across both services: 1,584 seats for the Ramadan train and 792 seats for the Raya train

The Excursion RTSM Edisi Ramadan train service will operate on four dates:
20 February and 6 March: KL Sentral – Tumpat
22 February and 8 March: Tumpat – KL Sentral

Meanwhile, the Ekpres Lambaian Aidilfitri Pantai Timur will operate on these two dates:
18 March: KL Sentral – Tumpat
22 March: Tumpat – KL Sentral

Tickets start from RM80 one-way

Travellers can choose Superior Class seats (RM80), Superior Class sleepers (RM90), or Premier Class (RM95).

The service spans 17 stations, namely KL Sentral, Bandar Tasik Selatan, Kajang, Seremban, Pulau Sebang, Gemas, Bahau, Mentakab, Jerantut, Kuala Lipis, Gua Musang, Dabong, Kuala Krai, Tanah Merah, Pasir Mas, Wakaf Bharu, and Tumpat.

Ticket sales open at noon today, 30 January.

Tickets are available via the KTM Mobile (KITS) app, KTMB's official website, or your nearest kiosk machine.
