A woman has been charged with allegedly selling a Hermes handbag she never had for RM41,288

According to The Star, Christina Tseu Cheau Wei, 36, pleaded not guilty at the Johor Bahru Magistrate's Court on 7 May to a charge under Section 417 of the Penal Code for cheating.

She is accused of selling a Hermes Mini Lindy handbag to buyer Teh Ann Na, 53, on 26 August 2025, but the buyer reportedly never received the item.

If convicted, Tseu faces up to five years' imprisonment, a fine, or both.

She was granted bail of RM4,000 after her lawyer told the court that she had cooperated with Johor authorities.

The lawyer also said she is an online trader from Klang, Selangor, with no fixed income, who cares for her mother suffering from blood cancer, and has two children aged 12 and 17.
