Visitors heading to the Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair (PBAKL) 2025 have been assured that there will be no full road closures during the ASEAN Summit between Friday, 23 May to Wednesday, 28 May

Mohd Khair Ngadiron, the chairperson of the PBAKL organising committee, clarified that while some roads will be temporarily closed to make way for official delegations, the closures will be brief.

"There will be no full road closures throughout the ASEAN Summit. Some routes used by delegates may be closed briefly but will reopen as usual shortly after," he said in a statement posted on Instagram.

The clarification comes in response to public concern over potential disruptions, following media reports of summit-related road closures

To avoid delays, visitors are encouraged to use public transportation to the venue.

PBAKL 2025 is taking place at the Kuala Lumpur World Trade Centre from 23 May to 1 June 2025, and is open daily from 10am to 10pm.
