The end of an era.
The huge Giant Hypermarket in Kelana Jaya has officially shut down on Sunday, 26 November, after 19 years in business
One of the most iconic hypermarkets in Klang Valley, it bid farewell to make way for a new project, reported Berita Harian.
Earlier this year, UEM Sunrise stated that it had bought the land, where the hypermarket is located, for real estate development.
According to the statement reported by New Straits Times, the land will be redeveloped with mixed development, consisting of apartments, offices and supermarkets, as well as retail lots.
