JPJ first introduced digital road tax (e-LKM) in February 2023 as part of its move to phase out traditional stickers

Road tax and driving licence details are now stored digitally in the MyJPJ app and can be shown directly from a smartphone when requested by enforcement officers.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke previously said motorists who prefer a physical copy can print their digital road tax from the MyJPJ app and keep it in their vehicle, especially for situations where someone other than the owner needs to present it to authorities.
