The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has announced that the public can purchase the remaining exclusive licence plate numbers from the Putrajaya series starting today, 8 April
According to JPJ's Facebook post yesterday, 7 April, the sought-after plate series available for purchase include 'FB', 'FC', 'FD', 'FE', and 'MALAYSIA'.
While JPJ's initial announcement didn't specify the exact prices for these Putrajaya series plates, insights from recent sales offer a helpful guide. For instance, the remaining "popular" numbers from the 'FG' series in January 2025 were priced at RM510 each (inclusive of service fees), while regular numbers in the same series were available for RM310 each (also inclusive of service fees).
Those interested in getting their hands on the Putrajaya series plates can make their purchase on JPJ's MySIKAP portal.
Here's what you do:
- Log in to your MySIKAP account and head to the "kenderaan" (vehicle) section
- Click on the "Tempahan Nombor Pendaftaran" (Licence Plate Booking) option and then choose "Nombor Pendaftaran Istimewa" (Special Licence Plate)
- Select your preferred series from "FB", "FC", "FD", "FE", or "MALAYSIA"
- Explore the available numbers within your chosen series and select your desired combination
- Proceed with payment where you can utilise either your credit card or the FPX online banking option
Upon successful transaction, the MySIKAP system will display the confirmation message: "TRANSAKSI ANDA TELAH BERJAYA" (YOUR TRANSACTION WAS SUCCESSFUL).
You can obtain your official receipt located at the bottom of the screen.
