Miss Universe 2012 Philippines first-runner up Janine Tugonon flew to the U.S. with a dream!
She wanted to reach her full potential as a fashion model and, maybe, a future Hollywood actress, too!

The moment [Treats magazine] (https://treatsmagazine.com) launched their annual nude [NU Muses] (https://www.instagram.com/numuses/?hl=en) calendar photoshoot, Tugonon joined the competition right away
Tugonon, along with the other aspiring models from around the globe, joined the competition to **not only redefine nudity as fine art, but to promote beauty itself as a timeless art form**.
"I wanted to aim higher, to be globally known and excellent in this industry (modeling and acting). **Being in this calendar is a huge opportunity to showcase my beauty and personality, a great exposure for me** and hopefully will be the beginning of a long lasting successful career in this field I'm very passionate about. Hope I'll be given the chance," said Tugonon.
Each competitor was asked questions like, "Why do you consider yourself a timeless beauty?"
In which Tugonon answered *ala* beauty pageant:
"**I consider myself a timeless beauty because of the kindness, the confidence, the strong personality, mindset and perspectives I have inside of me.** My aura is reflected by what's within me. And that is timeless, the complete package (mind, face, personality) I can give and show from the inside."

9 days after she announced that she was included in the Top 30, and even though she thought she was didn't do well during the photoshoot, she was named as one of the winners of NU Muses!
"I thought I did really bad during the test shoot and final casting since I was having a bad day that day. But [I] got the call from my agent few days after and it was AMAZING!" wrote Tugonon on Instagram.
Winners were given the career opportunity of a lifetime!
1. A nude photoshoot with David Bellemere at an exclusive location. Bellemere has shot photos of supermodels and Hollywood A-listers for magazines like Vogue, Marie Claire, Elle, and Glamour.
2. A receipt of $10,000
3. Flown to Miami for the VIP launch event at Art Basel covered by major press outlets.
4. To be featured in the December issue of Treats magazine and grace its cover.
5. To be featured in a documentary to be shown on one of the largest TV networks in the U.S. and would be distributed worldwide
NU Muses shared that they are so proud of the winners for they have been selected by a panel of judges who voted for the winners' inspiring and timeless beauty inside and out!
Treats magazine founder Steve Shaw stated, "We are launching NU Muses at a time when things are highly censored, and restricted: we have pop culture celebrities flashing body parts to get attention and music lyrics that are overly sexualized, but **we need to bring back the female form as classic fine art that is highly celebrated verses gratuitous**."
