A blind man has warmed hearts online after sharing how a wrong phone call led him to the woman who would later become his wife and the mother of their twins

Speaking to Harian Metro, Mohamad Izlan Iskandar Mohd Nasir, 29, said he was born with normal vision but suddenly lost his eyesight when he was 15 years old.

The experience left him feeling inferior and discouraged, especially when some people began distancing themselves from him.

He even doubted whether he would ever get married.

"Someone once asked me how I could possibly provide for a wife if I started a family.

"But I'm grateful that my wife is willing to accept me and she helps me a lot, even becoming my 'eyes' to walk," Izlan said.

"I cannot see my wife, but I'm sure she's a beautiful woman."

The couple met 10 years ago when Izlan accidentally dialled the wrong number.

On the other end of the line was Siti Hajar Musa, 32, who is now his wife.

The two began chatting through SMS and eventually grew close.

At the time, Siti Hajar did not even know Izlan was visually impaired because their conversations were only through text messages.

It was only when she visited his family home on 27 August 2016 that she discovered his condition.

Despite this, Siti Hajar did not change her mind about him.

She said she accepted Izlan wholeheartedly and believed their relationship was meant to be.

"I accepted my husband because of Allah SWT, and I am happy living with him even though he cannot see me," she told Harian Metro.

Her family was initially hesitant about the relationship, worried about the challenges she might face in the future

Some people around her also questioned her decision, suggesting she would have a difficult life.

However, Siti Hajar ignored those comments.

"There are certainly difficulties in marriage, but every time I get sick, my husband never leaves. Instead, he stays by my side to care for me."

She said Izlan brings her a sense of peace and often gives her meaningful advice.

The couple eventually got married and are now parents to a pair of 8-year-old twins.

Their children share a close bond with their father and often hold his hands to guide him whenever they walk together.
