A Facebook post has gone viral after showing what appeared to be a severed human hand inside a catfish
According to the New Straits Times, the post contained three images, the first showing an ikan baung (a type of catfish) caught by an angler.
The other two images showed what appeared to be a human-like hand extracted while the fish was being cleaned.
The first image depicted a catfish that had been caught.

The second image showed what appeared to be a hand with fur sticking to it.

The post gained over 300 shares and thousands of views within hours.
Netizens debated over what the object actually was
Some pointed to the clumps of fur as evidence that it was likely a monkey's hand.
Others, however, noted its resemblance to a human hand and urged the angler to lodge a police report.
Several also voiced their disgust, saying they would not eat the fish if they had found it.
