Some registered voters in different areas reportedly failed to find their names on the official voters' list from the Commission on Elections (Comelec) thus, they were not able to cast their votes.

PPCRV chairperson Henrietta de Villa also said that some vote counting machines (VCMs) malfunctioned after processing the first 50 to 80 ballots.

De Villa said the trend was observed in parts of Pangasinan, Ilocos Sur, North Cotabato and Metro Manila.

De Villa also stated that they were currently investigating on a particular voting precinct in Mindanao, that closed as early as 8:15 a.m. due to shortage of ballots.

High incidence of paper jams on ballot machines in Dumaguete, Jaro and Iloilo were noted.

Some VCMs reportedly failed to print voters' receipts, one noted at the Silang Elementary School in Caloocan, said a report of ABS-CBN News.

De Villa also stressed that the lack of special lanes for persons with disabilities, and the elderly were one of the leading problems in today's election.

A separate report from ABS-CBN also said that some ballots in Maguindanaoan Elementary School in Sultan Kudarat were found to be already shaded, even before the official voting time.

Vice presidential candidate Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo was also delayed from voting in Naga when a ballot machine malfunctioned at her voting precinct.

The PPCRV also expressed concern over reports of election-related violence and cheating nationwide.

ABS-CBN News monitored alleged vote-buying in Cagayan de Oro City and Zambales.

Two watchmen were arrested for handing out cash to voters in Barangay Labangon, Cebu City. They were identified as Marlon Baclayon and Adrian Rivera.

A mayoral candidate in Samar was also wounded in a shooting incident on Election Day.

Earlier, Comelec assured of that they will be replacing the 5,000 units of malfunctioning VCMs. Here's the story:
