On 4 May, hackers defaced Ahmad Maslan's website with a letter titled "Perjalanan Dunia Menuju Abadi" addressing Prime Minister Najib. It contained complaints on the government's recent actions.

"We are only ordinary citizens. Yet, we think that you need to hear our complaints. We no longer have confidence in your leadership," says the letter.
On feeling the pinch: "The majority of Malaysian youths are only earning less than RM2,000. They are finding it more difficult to afford the increasing cost of living, houses, and PTPTN loans."
