A viral TikTok video has touched the hearts of many Malaysians, showing the emotional resilience of a 5-year-old girl despite losing her mother

Aludra Ilona Afrinia, affectionately known as Anje, was seen on camera comforting her grieving father.

The footage shows her father, Mohd Ezrin Afrizal Roslan, 39, visiting his wife's grave in a cemetery near Kuala Kangsar, Perak.

Overwhelmed with emotion, Ezrin began weeping while speaking at the grave.

Seeing her father in distress, Aludra Ilona walked over to offer words of comfort.

"Is daddy sad? It's okay daddy, do not be sad, you are strong, you do not have to cry," she said.

Ezrin, who lives in Selama, Kedah, shared that he regularly records his visits to the cemetery to keep memories of his wife alive.

He often speaks to her as if she were still alive, sharing what is in his heart.

He told Harian Metro that he does not usually show sadness, let alone cry, during these visits.

However, on that particular day, he found himself unable to control his feelings as he "spoke" to her.

"Anje was with me that day, and she was originally sitting in a shed but suddenly came to comfort me," he explained.

Ezrin said he was stunned and moved by the maturity of the words coming from his young daughter

His wife, Izzati Idris, died on 19 September 2025 at Hospital Labuan.

Her death was caused by internal complications just 10 hours after she gave birth to their third child, Alvira Indah Afrinia.

The youngest child, Alvira Indah, is now 5 months old and is being cared for by a relative in Selangor.

Ezrin now manages the household with his 10-year-old daughter, Alexandra Izzahra Afrinia, and Aludra Ilona

This Ramadan marks their first year without Izzati, making the upcoming festivities particularly bittersweet.

Ezrin recalled how they used to sell biscuits together to prepare for Raya, a memory that remains a painful reminder of his loss.
