Police Seize 180 Bullets And 7 Guns From Mechanic’s Home In Kedah

Kedah police discovered a cache of illegal firearms, imitation pistols, and over 180 bullets at a mechanic's home last Wednesday, 6 May
The 45-year-old suspect, who was already in custody for illegal possession, led authorities to his residence in Baling for a 6pm raid following an interrogation.
According to Buletin TV3, district police chief Brandon Richard Joe confirmed the weapons were found concealed in the kitchen and the attic.

The ammunition stash contained 33 rounds of .38 bullets, 58 rounds of 9mm bullets, and 50 rounds of 12-bore shells.
The team also found 22 rounds of 5.56 bullets and 18 blank rounds of the same calibre.
"The two barrels of the air rifle were homemade by the suspect, who took three months to complete them," Brandon said.

Brandon said the suspect allegedly sourced the equipment from a contact through the Pengkalan Hulu border in Perak
According to Berita Harian, the suspect had allegedly purchased the firearms for around RM1,300 to RM1,500 for his personal collection.
The mechanic also tested positive for methampetamine.
The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) is expanding its investigation to identify others involved in the smuggling network.
The suspect is currently remanded until tomorrow under Section 117 of the Criminal Procedure Code to assist in the probe.
