Father Drives 2KM Before Realising Son Fell Out Of Car Window
The child sustained facial injuries.
A 3-year-old boy was found injured by the roadside after falling out of a moving vehicle, while his father unknowingly continued driving for about 2km before realising the child was no longer in the car
Lipis district police chief Supt Ismail Man said the incident occurred around 11am on Sunday, 6 April, at KM5 of Jalan Lipis-Merapoh, reported the New Straits Times.
The boy was seated in the back of a Proton Iswara Aeroback driven by his 36-year-old father.
The father, who was not named, had pulled over by the roadside to answer a phone call, during which time the child is believed to have fallen out through the open left rear window.
He then resumed his journey, unaware that his son was no longer in the vehicle.

It wasn't until he reached KM7 that the father realised his child was missing
After failing to locate him during a search, he lodged a police report at the Kuala Lipis police station.
Meanwhile, a passerby had discovered the injured boy alone by the roadside and took him to the Padang Tengku police station.
The child, who sustained facial injuries, later received treatment at the Padang Tengku health clinic, where he was reunited with his father.
Ismail said the case is being investigated under Section 337 of the Penal Code, and urged anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward, reported Bernama.
