Farah Ann Abdul Hadi has been appointed by the Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) as the official Chef de Mission for the upcoming Asian Youth Games
Chef de Mission is the head of a country's sports delegation, responsible for leading and supporting the team throughout the games.
Set to be held in Bahrain this December, Farah Ann will be the central figure managing Team Malaysia's delegation, ensuring athletes are supported in logistics, morale, and overall preparation.

This is her first significant role in sports leadership since retiring as a gymnast in 2022, marking a new chapter as she transitions from decorated athlete to mentor and team representative.
OCM president Tan Sri Mohamad Norza Zakaria said the council is confident in Farah Ann's ability to inspire and lead the team
"This appointment reflects a shared commitment to entrusting the Malaysian Contingent with a young and dynamic sports leader, whose extensive international experience and outstanding achievements are expected to inspire and motivate our nation's youth athletes," said Norza.

Farah Ann also expressed her gratitude upon her appointment.
"I am excited to be able to share my experiences in and off the field with the young athletes to help motivate and guide them in someway, but most importantly to cheer them on and support them in any ways necessary, to perform at their best," she shared on her Instagram.
Farah Ann is best remembered for her stunning SEA Games performances, where she collected eight gold medals across multiple editions
She also made history by qualifying for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, becoming the first Malaysian female gymnast to compete at the Games in 20 years.
Her fearless routines and bubbly personality made her one of Malaysia's most beloved athletes, and now she's bringing that same energy to support the country's young athletes on an international stage.
