A family in Kubur Panjang, Kedah has lodged a police report, alleging that several neighbourhood children repeatedly harassed their eldest son, a person with disabilities (OKU) living with schizophrenia

The victim's sister, Nor Zaihan Muhammad Yusof, 29, said her 40-year-old brother has endured various forms of abuse over the years, including verbal taunts and physical attacks.

The most recent incident, however, left the family shocked and outraged, reported Harian Metro.

In a statement shared on Facebook and later confirmed by media interviews, Nor Zaihan claimed the children had urinated on her brother while he was at home.

The family, she said, had reached their limit.

"We've tried our best to care for our brother, but this behaviour is inhumane," she said.

According to Nor Zaihan, the children had also thrown firecrackers and stones at him, set clothes on fire, and entered the house compound without permission.

The family has taken preventive measures over the years, including locking the gates and installing window grilles to ensure the man's safety

Nor Zaihan lodged a police report on 3 April at the Kubur Panjang police station.

Pendang district police chief Supt Rodzi Abu Hassan confirmed receiving the report.

He said the matter is currently under investigation.
