The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has officially discontinued its e-Caruman app as of 31 October 2025

In a statement, EPF said that all employer contribution payment services must now be conducted exclusively through the i-Akaun (Employer) web portal.

The i-Akaun (Employer) portal still supports FPX for online transactions, so you can continue paying directly from your bank account with no transaction fees.

Employers are advised to refer to the User Guide available on the EPF website for detailed instructions on using the new system.

The discontinuation marks the end of e-Caruman's nine-year run since its introduction in 2016

Initially launched as part of the e-Caruman Contribution Payment Transformation Programme, the app was designed to streamline employer payments by integrating with the FPX system for online transactions.

At its launch, then-EPF chief executive Datuk Shahril Ridza Ridzuan said the programme aimed to reduce reliance on counter services and improve efficiency for employers.

By September 2016, over 95% of employers were already using the e-Caruman facility to submit monthly Form A contributions.

The shift to i-Akaun (Employer) reflects EPF's continued digital transformation efforts to consolidate services under a single online platform.
