Elderly Female E-Hailing Driver Slashed With Knife In Sepang

An elderly e-hailing driver was seriously injured after being attacked in a parking area at Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi, Sepang on Monday night, 22 December
According to the New Straits Times, the 60-year-old woman was slashed with a sharp weapon believed to be a kerambit at around 9.40pm.
Sepang district police chief ACP Norhizam Bahaman said the victim sustained severe slash wounds to her neck and left arm and was rushed to Cyberjaya Hospital for treatment.
"Following the attack, the suspect fled the scene with the victim's Perodua Bezza," he said.

"Later that night, at about 11.15pm, Nilai police located a 69-year-old local man believed to be the suspect after he was involved in a road accident at Taman Desa Melati, Phase 3, Nilai.
"The suspect was found covered in blood and with a neck injury inside the victim's vehicle. The police also seized a kerambit knife," said Norhizam.
The suspect was taken to Cyberjaya Hospital and is currently under observation in the intensive care unit.
The case is being investigated under Section 307 of the Penal Code for attempted murder
The offence carries a maximum penalty of 10 years' imprisonment and a fine, or up to 20 years' imprisonment if permanent injury is caused.
