"We are already preparing four major teams," Peter Lavina said during a press conference in Royal Mandaya Hotel.

They are the following:

Overall transition committee

Selection committee

Policy group

Inauguration committee

"We will announce as soon as they are officially approved by the mayor," he added.

Laviña said the executive committee of the campaign team of Duterte already talked about the transitions twice before the elections to prepare for victory.

The spokesperson said they will coordinate with the Aquino administration for the transition.

"We will await for the official proclamation of the Mayor as president-elect," he said in an interview by GMA News.

A political analyst thinks that President Rodrigo Duterte will appoint the right individuals to his Cabinet, following the example of former
President Joseph "Erap" Estrada.

Sociologist Randy David said that former president Estrada recognizes that a president cannot run the country on 'charisma'. Thus, he needs competent individuals in top positions in the executive.

Duterte said Monday he was looking into putting close friends and former military men in his Cabinet.
