A dog and four of her puppies in Sandakan, Sabah were found dead after eating food left out for them that had been laced with poison
The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) Sandakan's Facebook post on the tragedy has garnered more than 1,750 shares at the time of writing.

The incident, which occurred on Friday, 29 March, was reported by a resident of Taman Sejati Ujana

The poisoned food was found near the animals' bodies.

According to an update by the NGO, the surviving puppy started to eat again on 30 March.
"We hope for the cooperation of all Sandakan people," the video's caption read, explaining that the SPCA can only take action if they have a clear video of the act to lead them to the culprit.
"Be alert, stay alert. One video can make a difference."
