In recent weeks, severe flooding across Malaysia's East Coast has displaced thousands, leaving them to rebuild their lives from scratch
To aid the recovery phase, Coway and Titipan Kasih Harian Metro (TKHM) have launched Misi Bantuan Banjir to bridge the gap between those who need the support and those who want to lend a helping hand.

Under this humanitarian initiative, a total of 4,000 Kotak Rezeki will be distributed to 2,000 flood victims across selected locations in Kelantan, Terengganu, and Pahang

Each location will receive 800 boxes, thoughtfully divided into two essential categories: Kotak Rezeki Keluarga and Kotak Rezeki Hygiene.
These boxes are designed to support both daily household needs and personal hygiene during the post-disaster recovery period, when access to basic necessities can be limited.
According to Coway, corporate responsibility extends beyond delivering home wellness solutions, especially during times of crisis

"At Coway, we believe our responsibility goes beyond providing products and services, and includes being present to assist communities in need.
"Through our collaboration with Harian Metro, we hope these Kotak Rezeki contributions will help meet the basic needs of flood victims and ease their burden during the recovery period," said Ryan Jung, Head of Marketing and Product Division at Coway Malaysia.
Harian Metro Group Editor and TKHM Project Chairman, Husain Jahit, said the initiative reflects the media's broader responsibility beyond reporting.

"Harian Metro sees itself as a bridge between socially responsible corporate organisations such as Coway and communities in need. This Flood Relief Mission reflects our commitment to corporate social responsibility, while ensuring messages of solidarity and assistance reach flood victims directly," he said.
Distribution of the Kotak Rezeki is scheduled for mid-January 2026, focusing on communities attempting to rebuild their livelihoods following the floods

The programme is supported by the Department of Social Welfare (JKM), along with agencies such as the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) and the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), ensuring that aid reaches verified recipients who are most in need.
