Ampang Jaya district police chief ACP Mohd Azam Ismail confirmed that the officer seen in the clip posted on TikTok has been identified and removed from active duty pending investigations.
"The officer is also being investigated internally for disciplinary action," he said in a statement.
According to Mohd Azam, the one-minute-and-30-second video, which has been shared on several social media platforms including Instagram and X, was detected around 5pm on Saturday, 14 June.
The case is being investigated under Section 509 of the Penal Code for insulting the modesty of a person and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 for misuse of network facilities.
Police are urging the woman involved to come forward to assist with the investigation.
In the video posted by the woman, the officer can be heard asking questions that quickly become suggestive
Cop: Your house?
Her: [My] house? There are only women at my house.
Cop: So I can't enter? Come hang out at my place.
Her: Where is it?
Cop: Keramat.
Her: That's far.
Cop: Want to check into a hotel?
The conversation continues with the officer asking about her work schedule, before pushing the exchange further.
Cop: It's okay, just WhatsApp or Telegram me later.
Her: [But] I'm working.
Cop: It will only take 10 minutes.
Her: Tomorrow, tomorrow.
Cop: But I want it now.

In a later update, the woman said she chose not to file a report against the officer, alleging that "police always protect police"
The woman revealed that she initially went to the police station intending to file a report, but ultimately backed out. She claimed she felt discouraged by how the situation was handled.
According to her, the experience has reinforced her belief that "police protect their own".
"I can't believe the officer accused me of just trying to get 'likes and views'," she alleged.
Frustrated, she said it was clear she wouldn't be taken seriously, and instead urged others in similar situations, even if it involves police officers, to record such incidents and make them public.
She ended her update by expressing anger over how she was treated, saying that one officer even tried to justify the cop's behaviour by pointing out that she often goes to clubs, implying it was normal for men to proposition her. Feeling disrespected and defeated, she decided to walk away.
"I'm just so mad… then they have the nerve to say, 'You always go to clubs right? So it's normal for guys to ask to check in'. That pissed me off. I just left. Let them go to hell," she said.

In a separate statement, Bukit Aman's Integrity and Standards Compliance Department (JIPS) confirmed that they are looking into the case, including the level of supervision within the officer's unit
"JIPS Bukit Aman is also carrying out a concurrent disciplinary probe into the junior police officer involved, including aspects of supervision," its director Datuk Seri Azri Ahmad said in a statement.
"The department will not hesitate to take firm action if the complaint is found to be valid," he added.
