Consultancy Firm Ranks Malaysia Among Top 10 Countries In The World For Medical Tourism
The firm said Malaysia's healthcare system rivals that of Singapore but comes at a more affordable price point.
Malaysia has been deemed one of the best destinations in the world for medical tourism and overseas healthcare
The list published by Nomad Capitalist — a global consultancy firm which advises high-net-worth entrepreneurs and investors — highlighted that rising costs of healthcare and medical insurance in the United States and the EU have been driving more people to seek treatment overseas.
As clients look to expand their lifestyles and businesses abroad, Nomad Capitalist emphasised the importance of accessible, high-quality healthcare — something that many emerging countries, including Malaysia, now offer affordably.

According to the consultancy, Malaysia attracts over half a million medical tourists annually, primarily from neighbouring Asian countries
Visitors are drawn by the country's modern infrastructure, world-class hospitals, and significantly lower treatment costs.
Nomad Capitalist noted that Malaysia's healthcare system rivals that of Singapore but comes at a more affordable price point.
"Its prices are competitive, and its facilities and services are on par with all of its regional rivals," it said.
It also pointed out that English is more widely spoken in Malaysia than in countries like Thailand, and that the nation's infrastructure outpaces that of India.
Besides being able to get a full physical exam done in Malaysia for only a few hundred dollars, compared to several thousand in the US, Malaysian hospitals also offer more advanced procedures, such as heart surgeries and IVF treatments, for one-fifth the cost of Western facilities.
