The two construction workers were fabricating a steel cage when a cable snapped, causing the steel bars to collapse on them

MRT Corp has released a press statement saying rescue work has started. However, they were not able to detail the condition of the victims.

According to The Malaysian Insider, Sunway Construction is responsible for Semantan site

Construction of the much anticipated MRT system has been plagued with accidents ever since a man was killed from falling equipment in March 2013

In June 2014, metal slabs from two separate construction sites in Kota Damansara and Subang Jaya crushed two cars. A man barely escaped death and a couple was killed in the crash.

The most shocking accident happened in August 2014 when a 300-tonne concrete block at a construction site in Kota Damansara collapsed and crushed three Bangladeshi workers

The accident prompted MRT Corp's then CEO Datuk Azhar Abdul Hamid to resigne and take responsibility of the incident. His resignation was however rejected by the company.
