The establishment of this green park in the middle of the city's hullaballoo is perfectly timed since urban population is rampantly growing. In fact, the majority of the world's population lives in a city, and this proportion continues to grow according to World Bank's [statistics] (http://data.worldbank.org/indicator/SP.URB.TOTL.IN.ZS?end=2015&start=1960&view=chart)

One hundred years ago, 2 out of every 10 people lived in an urban area. By 1990, less than 40 percent of the global population lived in a city, but as of early 2010s, more than half of all people live in an urban area. By 2030, 6 out of every 10 people will live in a city, and by 2050, this proportion will increase to 7 out of 10 people.

The United Nations state that one billion people live in urban slums, which are typically overcrowded, polluted and dangerous, and lack basic services such as clean water and sanitation.

No need to look for a mall that never allows pets inside or parks that are too far from the house to begin with since you can now bring your pets and walk at the park with them!

Back in 2013, DOH Assistant Secretary Eric Tayag led a flash mob dance at the San Lorenzo Ruiz Plaza in Binondo, Manila to address the issue of unhealthy lifestyle.

Are you eating the proper food?

What are the physical activities that you do?

How many hours of sleep do you get?

How much alcohol or cigarettes do you consume in one day?

These are the questions Health Secretary Enrique Ona asked during the launching of a nationwide healthy lifestyle movement, [Pilipinas Go4Health] (https://www.facebook.com/Go4Health.PH/), which aims to control the prevalence of non-communicable diseases as [reported] (http://www.gmanetwork.com/news/story/311710/lifestyle/healthandwellness/doh-launches-pilipinas-go4health-campaign-to-prevent-lifestyle-diseases) by GMA News.
