<p>According to [Business Insider](http://www.businessinsider.my/canadian-immigration-site-crash-election-2016-11/?r=US&#038;IR=T#7OSj0dbAs1bC2feM.97), the [immigration website](http://www.cic.gc.ca/) crashed at about 10.30pm eastern time (11.30am local time).</p>
<p>However, no information has been released so far on the cause for the site&#8217;s crash.</p>
