A breakfast outing turned deadly for a woman after a car crashed into a café at Taman Bukit Kepayang in Seremban this morning, killing the 55-year-old and injuring two others, including a café worker and a customer

The incident occurred at around 9.30am today, 28 April, when a woman driver, believed to have accidentally stepped on the accelerator, lost control of her vehicle and ploughed into the café, reported Sin Chew Daily.

According to initial investigations, the deceased, identified as a female café employee, was having breakfast inside the premises when she was struck by the car.

The driver reportedly intended to reverse but mistakenly accelerated forward into the café. She was unable to move the car after the crash and had to be assisted by others to exit the vehicle.

A café staff told reporters that the outlet, located in a bustling area near a laundromat, typically experiences heavy foot traffic

The deceased's body was sent to the Tuanku Ja'afar Hospital for a post-mortem. Police have launched an investigation and have recorded statements from the driver and witnesses.

The woman's grieving family members, including her elderly mother, whom she would accompany to breakfast every morning before heading to work, described the sudden loss as heartbreaking.

"She had just finished breakfast and was still nearby when it happened. We only found out when people came to inform us. None of us could believe it," said a relative.
