According to South China Morning Post, her injuries were so severe that she had to undergo a partial amputation of her left foot and 12 surgeries on her right.

Their mother, who shares their daily lives on social media under the alias @Jiajia's mother, says it was entirely her son's idea to accompany his sister home
When he was younger, she often brought him along to pick up his sister. Now, as a primary school student himself, he insists on being her companion.
At home, his care extends beyond the bus stop. He fetches water for her to wash her feet, helps with her shoes, and even shares his pocket money.
"He's only 9, but he's incredibly considerate," their mother says with pride.
