A Hong Kong boy took the wheel in a feat of quick thinking after his father fainted while driving

According to the New Straits Times, Hong Kong police said the boy's father, 47, lost consciousness while driving in the Kennedy Town neighbourhood at around 6pm on Monday, 26 January.

His 11-year-old son promptly grabbed the steering wheel from the passenger seat in an attempt to control the vehicle as it hurtled down Sands Street.

It collided with a seven-seater vehicle at Catchick Street before crashing into roadside railings at the Rock Hill Street junction.

Despite the multiple collisions, no injuries were reported

While the 47-year-old father has been rushed to Queen Mary Hospital, neither his son nor the 66-year-old driver of the other vehicle were hurt.

No other pedestrians were injured when the boy tried his best to control the vehicle in an almost 100m span.

Hong Kong police are currently investigating the incident.
