Honda Issues Recall For 430 Motorcycles. Check If Yours Is Affected

Boon Siew Honda Sdn Bhd has announced a product recall for 430 motorcycles across two high-powered models due to identified technical issues that may affect vehicle safety
The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has confirmed that the recall will commence on 25 May.
The recall involves 160 units of the Honda CMX500A model produced between 2023 and 2024, which were found to have a technical issue involving a loosening handlebar lock screw.

Image via Boon Siew HondaAdditionally, 270 units of the Honda CBR650RAC model produced between 2024 and 2025 are being recalled due to a risk of a short circuit in the wire harness.

To provide convenience to owners, the company is also permitting walk-in visits to any authorised service centre nationwide for the necessary inspections and corrective actions.
Any components identified as defective will be replaced at no cost to the owner, with all expenses fully covered by Boon Siew Honda.
JPJ has advised all owners of the affected models to make the necessary arrangements to ensure their vehicles undergo inspection as soon as possible to guarantee road safety
The department will continue to monitor the implementation of this recall process to ensure that all units involved are thoroughly inspected and verified as safe for road use.
